WFH: How to feel more work-ready when working from home
When you’re working from home, it’s easy to allow your looks to become too casual. While there's never the need to dress up for anyone else, it’s important not to lose sight of your appearance and how it makes you feel. Why not push the boat out and try something new? Shoes
There is nothing more effective to dress you up or down than what’s on your feet. Going from crisp white trainers to summer sandals makes feeling fancy at home super easy and effortless, while changing the entire look and feel of your outfit. Go for a feminine and versatile shape with detailing such as frills to make the transition to a drink after work seamless.
Outerwear
Another great way to feel less casual for those Zoom meetings is with your choice of outerwear. Options to up the ante could either be a cropped black leather jacket or smart neutral coloured blazer. If you’re wearing a maxi or midi shape keep the jacket cropped to emphasise the waist, or a boxy oversized blazer for the evening paired with heeled sandals to elongate your legs. Hair up? Hair down? Half up, half down? So many options, but it’s all too easy to showcase one hairstyle when working from home! Easy soft beachy waves are a great choice that require minimal effort and can be prepped the night before if you’re strapped for time in the AM. Or for a more sleek and sophisticated feel, a top knot or high pony done right can really lift your look.
