Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is held in October every year from the first to end of the month. This year around 55,000 women and 370 men in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer. The major breast cancer charities organise annual international health campaigns to raise awareness of the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

Wear it Pink

Breast Cancer Now’s Wear it Pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, where we wear something or EVERYTHING pink in schools, the office and all sorts of communities in support of the charities and fundraising. Together, communities have worn it pink for over 20 years; dressed up, baked at cake sales, held quizzes, you name it, they’ve done it and raised over £37 million in the process. Despite all the recent setbacks such as COVID-19, Breast Cancer Now still have their goal set at a 100% survival rate by 2050. We will be joining the nation and wearing it pink on the 21st October to support the cause too.
